Talk at the Observatory by Martin Braddock

“I will describe the current state of the art regarding warp drives, hibernation/stasis, terraforming of Mars and the fast emerging field of nano spacecraft harbouring an e-crew of human avatars all addressed by examples from the scientific literature. In particular I will address the physical constraints of getting to, let alone colonising Mars with respect to astronaut exposure to prolonged periods of microgravity and radiation.”
